Shoulder Pain Physical Therapy in Sunrise, FL
Your Shoulder Shouldn't Set the Limits
A sore shoulder is rarely just a shoulder problem. We look at the rotator cuff, the shoulder blade, the neck, and the way you load overhead to find what is actually driving the pain — then build a plan that fixes the cause, not just the symptom.

Why Pushing Through Shoulder Pain Usually Makes It Worse Over Time
Rest Alone Rarely Fixes the Cause
Backing off calms the ache for a while, but if a mobility limitation, strength deficit, or movement fault is driving it, the pain returns the moment you load the shoulder again.
Compensation Quietly Spreads the Problem
An irritated shoulder changes how you reach, press, and rotate. Those compensations load the neck, elbow, and opposite side — turning one nagging issue into several.
Guarding Becomes the New Normal
The longer a shoulder stays painful, the more you unconsciously protect it. That guarding rewires your movement patterns and stiffens the joint, making the eventual fix slower and harder.
Care Built Around Your Shoulder, Not a Protocol
Every session is one-on-one with your physical therapist — a DPT, CSCS, and TPI Medical clinician — in a private performance gym setting. No aides, no double booking, no insurance-driven time limits. Just focused care built around your shoulder and your goals.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about shoulder pain PT at Kinetic — answered straight.
Will this address what is actually causing my shoulder pain?
That is the whole point. We screen the full chain — rotator cuff, scapula, neck, and mid-back — to find what is driving your symptoms instead of chasing the sore spot. From there we build a plan that targets the root cause, so relief holds up once you get back to training.
Do I need a referral or imaging before I come in?
No referral needed. Florida is a direct-access state, so you can book an evaluation without a physician referral. If you have had recent imaging or a diagnosis, bring it along — it helps us build a fuller picture — but it is not required to get started.
Do you take insurance for shoulder therapy?
We are cash-based and do not bill insurance directly, which lets us give you a full one-on-one hour every visit with no session limits. FSA and HSA are accepted, and we provide a superbill you can submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement through your plan.
How long until my shoulder feels better?
It depends on what is driving the pain and how long it has been there. After your first evaluation we map out a clear plan with milestones, and many patients notice meaningful changes in pain and movement within the first few weeks of consistent, individualized work.
I'm not an athlete — is this still right for me?
Absolutely. While we work with golfers and competitive athletes, most of our patients are simply active adults who do not want shoulder pain dictating how they lift, reach, work, or sleep. If your shoulder is limiting the way you want to move, you are in the right place.
