Knee Pain Physical Therapy in Sunrise, FL

Don't Let Your Knee Call the Shots

Knee pain on the stairs. A dull ache after every run. A joint that swells when you push the pace. Active adults come to us when a knee keeps interrupting the way they want to train — and we dig in to find what's actually driving it, not just where it hurts.

Why Pushing Through Knee Pain Costs You More Than a Few Missed Runs

Rest Alone Won't Fix the Root Cause

Backing off calms the pain for a while. But if a mobility limitation, a strength deficit, or a faulty movement pattern is driving it, the ache comes back the moment you ramp activity up again.

Generic PT Chases the Spot, Not the Cause

Many clinics chase the painful spot with the same handful of exercises. Knee pain is often driven from the hip, the ankle, or how you load the joint — and until that's addressed, the same issue keeps resurfacing.

Small Aches Snowball Into Bigger Ones

One sore knee changes how you move. You shift load to the other leg, shorten your stride, or skip training entirely. Those compensations become the next problem — which is why early, targeted care matters.

Active Adults Who Got Back to Moving

Real results from real patients — verified Google Reviews.

Dr. Joseph Ho was always punctual and professional. Not only did he assist me in rehabilitating the issue with my knee, he was very congenial. He coached and conversed with me throughout each visit which made the time pass quickly. The exercises he recommended were within my capability and, more importantly, relieved my discomfort. I would definitely recommend him to other potential clients for physical therapy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about knee pain PT at Kinetic — answered straight.

Can physical therapy help knee pain without surgery or injections?

For many people, yes. We start by finding what's driving the pain — strength deficits, mobility limits, or how you load the joint — then build a plan to address it at the source. Most active adults notice meaningful improvements in pain and movement as that root cause is resolved.

What could be causing my knee pain?

Knee pain often comes from somewhere other than the knee — limited hip or ankle mobility, weak supporting muscles, or movement patterns that overload the joint. Our assessment uses force testing and movement screening to pinpoint the real driver, so your plan targets the cause instead of the symptom.

Do you accept insurance?

We're cash-based and don't bill insurance directly, which lets us give every patient a full one-on-one hour. We provide a superbill after each session that you can submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement, and FSA and HSA cards are accepted.

Do I need a referral to be seen?

No referral needed. Florida is a direct-access state, so you can schedule an evaluation without a physician referral. If you've had recent imaging or a diagnosis for your knee, bring it along — it helps us build a more complete picture from the first visit.

I'm not an athlete — is this still right for me?

Absolutely. While we work with golfers and competitive athletes, we help any active adult whose knee pain is getting in the way of running, lifting, recreational sport, or everyday life. If your knee is limiting how you want to move, you're exactly who this clinic is built for.
